Icicle Valley Trout Unlimited is proud to support events at our local Blackbird Fishing Pond.This pond is a a juvenile Steelhead rearing and acclimation site for the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.Once the Steelhead are relased, WDFW releases between 500-1,000 Westslope Cutthroat Trout. From July 1 to September 30, this Leavenworth gem is a juvenile fishery open to youth 14 years old and younger. 

During Kinderfest, a Leavenworth festival on July 4th weekend, Icicle Valley Trout Unlimited hosts a youth fishing day. Kids can bring their own gear or use the rods, tackle and bait that we provide to catch their own Cutthroat trout.Our volunteers help with setting up gear and fishing techniques.  The next Fishing Day will be July 2, 2018 from 11-3 pm.
